M A R and the Marmeladies are a lively 4-piece band based out of Asheville, NC. Grounded stylistically in Latin American Folk, they explore a variety of genres and add a quirky bluesy indie and Latin flair.
The band is led by M A R on guitar and vocals; Andy John on bass, harmonica, cello, slide guitar, and whatever other instrument he pulls from his closet; Elizabeth McCorvey on violin, cello and vocals; and Zack Downes on drums. Together, they create a fun and enthusiastic groove that always gets an audience on their feet and singing along - whether they know the song or not.
